Brown Golf was founded in January 2011, by a team that included John A. Brown, John M. Brown, and Todd Brown. The Brown Family started the business to take advantage of a depressed golf market. The business model seemed crazy in the golf climate of 2011, but we forged through. Entering the market with venture capital support, the model was geared to find valued golf assets, purchase them, and enter into a long-term lease. Based on our model, delivering value while understanding how to cash flow the facilities was vital to the future growth of the company. The ownership group added Jason Harshbarger, CFO in September of 2011.
